Registration Of Nigerians In South Africa, Swaziland and Lesotho
We all know that there is a large community of Nigerians from all walks of life in South Africa. The number can only be estimated. As a result, the Consulate-General has developed an online registration system on its Website to enable Nigerians living in South Africa, Swaziland and Lesotho to register online.
This will enable us have a good knowledge of the number of Nigerians in these countries as well as their occupations, places of work and the positions they occupy. Such registration will also help the Consulate to communicate more effectively with Nigerians in South Africa and the other two neighboring countries, especially in disseminating information through cell phones and e-mail addresses. Hard copies of the forms will also be available to those who do not have access to the internet. This is in line with the saying that "if you cannot count them, you cannot manage them."
Changes to the records of registered Nigerians can only be effected by the Consulate. If it becomes necessary, the applicant should inform the Consulate in writing of the changes and this will be carried out accordingly. This will help us maintain the integrity of the data base.
It is important to note that this system is designed for only those Nigerians who are registering from within these three countries. The system will not accept any registration from outside these three countries.
